About the data

Where the talents come from

The Forever client itself. Since 17 September 2026 every talent on this site (its tree, row and column, its rank count, its prerequisite arrows and its tooltip text) is generated from the World of Warcraft: Forever client, build 1.60.1.70532. Tooltip numbers are computed from the spell effect data the same way the game renders them. Nothing is a placeholder and nothing is a guess.

Compared against Classic. Each talent is resolved a second time from the Classic Era tables (1.15.9.69722) and the two are compared rank by rank. That comparison is what the markers mean: new for a talent Classic never had, changed where the wording or the numbers moved, and unmarked where the text matches word for word. Turning on Show original Classic shows you the Classic tooltip under the Forever one.

Before the client, footage. Until the beta build appeared, the trees here were transcribed frame by frame from BlizzCon 2026 streams. That record is kept rather than discarded: the beta changes page diffs what BlizzCon showed against what the client actually shipped, rank for rank.

The class spellbooks come from the same client build: every trainer-taught spell on the class skill lines, with talent-granted spells, hidden proc effects and anything the trainer no longer teaches filtered out the way the game itself marks them. Each spell is matched to its Classic Era version by spell id, so a rename or a consolidation still shows the right Classic tooltip underneath.
